Celtic and the Rangers look set to battle for the transfer of the unknown midfielder currently plying his trade in Nigeria.
One thing that Celtic like more than most clubs is a good bargain. It is for this reason that every season you find them signing some relatively unknown talent or the other in hopes that he turns out to be a Premiership level player and can be sold at a good profit in the future.
This time though, the Hoops might have even outdone themselves in this department as they have been linked with unknown Nigerian midfielder Fatai Gbadamosi. The rumour comes out from a 90 Min report linking the club with Liverpool striker Taiwo Awoniyi.
In the last paragraph, it mentions that they are also keeping an eye on Awoniyi’s fellow countryman who is current playing in his motherland for Shooting Stars SC.

To be honest, it is very difficult to find anything about the player. He does not have any pages dedicated to him and appears to have represented the Nigeria under 23s side on one occasion.
Apparently, he is a 22-year-old midfielder who is capable of carrying the ball from deep and also has a penchant for scoring from long range. Now, it will be interesting to see what kind of transfer fee, Shooting Stars demand for him.
Judging by the complete lack of knowledge about him, it would be a reasonable guess that he should not cost too much though. But then, that also raises the issue about whether he is actually a good player or just someone that a certain scout liked on the odd occasion.
That is not to say that he is not a good player though as there are surely a lot of unearthed gems in Africa. And the fact that the Rangers also want him could be a promising sign to be very honest.
