Ismaila Soro’s agent has released an exciting Celtic statement and revealed how the midfielder coped with his early struggles at Parkhead.

Although he did arrive in January, it is safe to say that Ismaila Soro’s rise at Celtic has meteoric. And at this point of time, he is easily one of the most important players in Neil Lennon’s side.

For the most part though, it had looked like he was another of those flops who the club had signed just because he was for cheap in hopes that they could get a higher transfer fee for him later. All that has changed drastically over the past month or so.

Dudu Dahan is a name that Celtic fans will be very familiar with. Even before bringing Soro to the club, he was involved in Hatem Abd Elhamed’s move to Glasgow. And the agent has shed some light on the Ivorian’s grit and determination to succeed.

On his Facebook page, Dahan said:

"“A dreamy month for the humble and low floor guy who came to Celtic from Bnei Yehuda. A whole year he sat on the bench and not a few times in the stands. He runs for the same role with the fantastic and legendary captain of the team for 14 years: Scott Brown.“A lot of players would break and give up, but not him! Not Soro! Every time there was a fall I made sure to remind him of his childhood in Ivory Coast and the dreams of playing in such a big club.“And that’s how with a lot of will, perseverance and faith he waited for the opportunity patiently. Five games, five wins and yesterday came the cherry on top. A huge goal after 4 years!”"

There is no denying the fact that Soro’s introduction into the team has been an absolute gamechanger for the Hoops. They were going through their worst run of form in recent memory, having won just 2 games in 12.

Turnbull and Soro were brought into the mix against Lille in a dead rubber Europa League group stage clash and the duo have provided the spark that Lennon’s side had been needing for months. Since then, they have won six straight games and have managed to steady a ship that at point looked like it was sinking.

Their biggest test will come tomorrow though when Celtic travel to Ibrox to take on the Rangers. Steven Gerrard’s side currently have a 16 point lead at the top of the Premiership table although they have played three games more. Even then, it is safe to say they are comfortably at the top.

A win for the Hoops could change that though and prove to be a huge momentum changer. Let’s hope the Bhoys can get it done. The fate of 10IAR depends on it.
