The Celtic legend’s son has admitted that it would be a dream for him to play for the Hoops one day but wants to establish himself first.

We all know about Celtic’s rich history and the number of great players that have represented the Hoops over the years. Not many have been better than a certain Henrik Larsson though.

The Swede was an absolute legend for the club. In 313 games, he would score an incredible 242 goals and won 8 trophies during his time at Parkhead. He would even win the European Golden Boot in 2001 on the back of his incredible 53-goal season.

While most fans would have already seen his son, Jordan, during trophy ceremonies, probably not many have followed his professional career. He has not done too badly for himself though, already making five appearances for the Swedish national team.

And the Celtic legend’s son has admitted that he would love to play for the Hoops one day but wants to establish himself further before thinking of making the move to Parkhead. Speaking with RT Sport and as reported by Glasgow Live, he said:

"“For me, Celtic will always have a special place in my heart. Not that I played there but it was the first place where I saw football as a young kid going with my mother to see games my father was playing.“That’s where I have the biggest memories in my head, ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’, you have all the scarves before the games and everything so it will always have a special place in my heart.“At the same time, my father is who he is at the club and I think for me personally if I would ever get the chance to play there then I would like to establish myself even more, make my own name before I would play there, if that chance would ever come up.“Of course it’s tempting, not that they’re interested, but if I think about it, to be able to play there would be a dream in that sense.”"

If he is even half as good as his father then Celtic should not think twice before bringing him to Parkhead. He is the same size as the Swedish legend and plays as a forward as well.

Currently at Spartak Moscow, he is having a very decent season for the Russian side. In 19 appearances, he has scored 8 goals and provided 4 assists. And while not extraordinary numbers, they are very respectable as his team currently sit at third in the Russian Premier League.

Overall, he has scored 18 goals in 49 appearances for Spartak Moscow. And although he is not a free-scoring player at the moment, that does not mean that he cannot be one in the future. He is still just 23 years of age, with a lot of time to develop his game.

One has to remember, even his father had scored just 42 goals in 149 appearances for Feyenoord before moving to Celtic. The rest is history.
