As rumours about a move for Kristoffer Ajer have gone cold, AC Milan appear to have set their sights on another Celtic star.
Despite their stumbling start to the season, Celtic stars remain in high demand all over Europe. While the club managed to hold on to all of their top names in the summer, with the 10IAR playing a huge part in that decision, it is unlikely that they can continue to do so if some of the biggest clubs in Europe keep knocking on their door.
At this point of time, the most valuable asset at Parkhead is Odsonne Edouard. The striker has made a name for himself as one of the best players in Scotland over the past few seasons and seems ready to make the jump to a bigger league.
Rumours are that he has rejected a new contract from the Hoops that would have paid him significantly more than what he is earning now. And his desire to leave might have played a huge role in his dip in form this season. That does not seem to have put off AC Milan though.

As reported by the Daily Record, the Italian giants view him as a possible heir to Zlatan Ibrahimovic. And while the Swede remains the biggest star in Milan right now, it is undeniable that he is 39 years of age. Sooner or later he is going to retire, and the club must prepare for the future.
Reports in the past have stated that Celtic value Edouard at around £30 million. And if AC Milan come in with a bid in that range, it will be very hard for the Hoops to turn them down.
Yes, it would be a huge setback to lose Edouard in the middle of 10IAR campaign. But to be very honest, the Frenchman has not been spectacular this season. In fact, it has looked like he is going through the motions, waiting for his big move away. And in that case, it would not be the worst idea to let him go for a significant sum of money and use it to bring a new striker to Parkhead.
