Here’s how the Celtic players performed as the Hoops continued their return to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Kilmarnock in the Premiership.

While the scoreline might not have been massive, Celtic did manage to walk out with a convincing victory over Kilmarnock. The Hoops enjoyed 64% of the possession and had 10 shots on target to Kilmarnock’s 1.

But coming out in the second half, there must have been some nerves in the Celtic camp. The score was still goalless and after the performances this season, you wouldn’t put it past them to slip up and concede a goal on the counter.

Thankfully, that did not happen. Instead it was Mohamed Elyounoussi broke the deadlock in the 57th minute with a good run down the left although there was also a hint of luck in the goal. Shane Duffy’s bullet header in the 70th minute put the game beyond the visitors though and after a long time, it was all three points for Neil Lennon’s side.

The introduction of David Turnbull and Ismaila Soro in the midfield seems to have done the world of good, as Celtic look like a different team at the moment. And the clean sheet will hopefully give the defenders some confidence as well after they have leaked goals over the past few months.

Conor Hazard also seems to be the first choice keeper right now after two good performances. Yes, he might not have done anything spectacular but he looks solid. Something that cannot be said about either Scott Bain or Vasilis Barkas at this point of time.
