Henrik Larsson appears to have waited for years to reveal one of Martin O’Neill’s secrets to John Hartson from their time together at Celtic.

The ’90s were a terrible time for Celtic. The Hoops managed to lift only a solitary league title during the decade although it was very important as it stopped the Rangers from achieving 10IAR.

Things would not be so bad for much longer though. The arrival of Henrik Larsson in 1997 would ultimately change the course of the club’s history as he would go down as one of the greatest players they ever had. And the likes of Chris Sutton and John Hartson were not bad either.

Martin O’Neill being given the manager’s job in 2000 was perhaps the starting point in the Hoops turning the tide on the Rangers and becoming the dominant force in Scottish football over the course of the next two decades.

Fans surely have fond memories of that team. Thus, it is always great to see them back together in any capacity. And that is exactly what happened when Larsson, Sutton and Hartson appeared together on 1st Star’s Legends Live. You can see the video on their Twitter.

The King brought with him a cheeky tale for Hartson as well. The former Welsh international was trying to explain how Martin O’Neill would not bring players into his circle when Larsson decided to let of a secret he had been holding back for years.

Apparently, both Larsson and Sutton were invited over to dinner at O’Neill’s house. Hartson had no clue anything of the sort was going on and actually looked taken aback for a few seconds before making a joke about his own weight.

It was hilarious to say the least and must have brought a smile to the faces of anybody who watched these three play together.
