Celtic’s official Twitter made a meal of things by mixing up players and providing wrong news about their injury status.

Whoever is handling Celtic’s Twitter account appears to have had a nightmare on Friday. It is actually hilarious that the person in charge of a club’s official social media account managed to mix the players up but then everybody makes mistakes. So it is best to just see the funny side of things and move on.

In a tweet that has been deleted since then, the club’s official Twitter quoted Neil Lennon as saying Kristoffer Ajer was a doubt for Saturday’s game against Hibernian away at Easter Road. Except the quotes were not about the Norwegian at all but instead his defensive partner Christopher Jullien, who has been out for more than two months now.

Yes, they are both giant centre-backs and their first names are pretty similar as well. But it is hard to mix them both up to be very honest. Perhaps he just wants to see Big Jullien back in action.

On a more serious note though, it would not be the worst idea in the world to have Jullien back in the squad right now. The Frenchman has got some stick since joining the club last summer. But after seeing the Hoops struggle defensively since his injury, it sure does look like he could nail down a spot in the first-team when fit.

While he has remained out with a back injury for over two months, it does look like he is making good progress in that regard judging by his social media posts recently and it might be only a matter of time before he is back on the pitch.

It is good to have Ajer in the mix though. The Norwegian has been one of the club’s best defenders in recent weeks. And when fit, he is another one who is looking like someone who Neil Lennon must pick every week as Shane Duffy continues to struggle.
