Celtic fans will be delighted with the club’s latest announcement regarding their upcoming Scottish League Cup opener.

Having won the Scottish League Cup for four consecutive seasons, Celtic will start their campaign for a fifth straight title when they take on Ross County in their opening game in the competition on 29th November.

And the club have some good news for the season ticket holders. The Hoops have managed to strike a partnership with Premier Sports, meaning that the game will be available to them. There is still no news though about how those without a season ticket can view the game.

The announcement was made on the club’s official website:

"“We are so grateful to our season ticket holders for the huge commitment they have made to the Club during this very difficult year. Clearly, we desperately want our fans back with us safely at Celtic Park. However, until this is the case we aim to do all we can to provide additional access and value to our fans.“We are pleased to partner with Premier Sports and again offer our supporters this access as we begin the defence of a trophy we have won for the last four consecutive seasons. We thank our season ticket holders, indeed all our fans for their fantastic continued support.”"

While this is a positive step, the club have a lot to worry about before they even take the pitch against Ross County. Before that they have a couple of away games against Hibernian and Sparta Prague, respectively. And both games could have a huge impact on the club’s season.

The Hoops already find themselves chasing the Rangers in the Premiership, as they are nine points behind although with two games in hand. And it is important for them to win away at Easter Road on Saturday to put the pressure on Steven Gerrard’s side who welcome Aberdeen to Ibrox on Sunday.

Then they have to take care of the Europa League game against Sparta Prague. Having managed just one point from the first three games, the only thing that they can do right now is try to win their remaining games if they are to qualify. Then they can turn their attention to the League Cup opener against Ross County.
