Celtic handed major boost ahead of Hibernian clash
Celtic have been handed a massive boost heading into their game against Hibernian on Saturday although the ball is still in SFA’s court.
Celtic will have to come out firing on all cylinders following the international break. They have managed just two wins from their last seven games and that is simply not good enough for the reigning champions of Scotland.
As things stand, they are chasing the Rangers in the Premiership table. They are nine points behind Steven Gerrard’s side although they have played two games less but it is important to win those games in hand to cut down that lead to three points. And beating Hibernian away at Easter Road would be a good start to that.
In that respect they have been handed a massive boost as it looks like both Mohamed Elyounoussi and Kristoffer Ajer will be available on Saturday. Initially, there had been fears that they could be put into quarantine after a Norwegian player tested positive while on international duty.

This resulted in their government stepping in and cancelling their upcoming games. But both of them have returned three negative tests as reported by The Scottish Sun and as a result, they have been sent back to Scotland on a flight arranged by the Norwegian FA.
Now the decision lies in SFA’s hands. And while the general public is expected to go into 14 days isolation after returning from overseas trips to high risk countries, exceptions are made for high-level athletes. As a result, the Celtic higher ups are confident that the duo will be available on Saturday.
This is a massive boost to Neil Lennon. Elyounoussi has been the club’s best player by far in recent weeks while Ajer has also appeared to be the most solid defender that they have. Thus, expect both of them to feature against Hibernian if given the go ahead.
