Celtic linked with January move for Manchester United star
Celtic have been linked with a January swoop for the Manchester United star in order to short the issues they have had this season.
In a season when they needed the strongest start possible with 10IAR on the line, Celtic have stumbled out of the blocks. As things stand, they are chasing the Rangers in the Premiership while they are also on the verge of getting knocked out of their Europa League group having managed just a solitary point from their first three games. The only silver lining has been their qualification to the Scottish Cup final where they will take on Hearts.
One area that has appeared to be a weakness for the Hoops is goalkeeping. Last season, they had Fraser Forster on a season long loan and he did a spectacular job between the sticks. The Englishman refused to return to Parkhead on loan this time around though and as a result they splashed out £4.5 million on Greek international Vasilis Barkas.
Between Barkas and Bain, neither of them has been entirely convincing. And as a result, the club might be on the look out for another keeper, at least for a short-term fix with 10IAR up for grabs and failure not an option.
Manchester United’s Dean Henderson might be that man according to 90min:
"Henderson may have to consider moving abroad in order to secure the playing time he needs, or perhaps even to Scotland, where Celtic is an option."

The move certainly would make sense for all parties involved. He has failed to get time at Manchester United and will be eager to get regular playing minutes considering the fact that he is too good to be spending the season warming the bench. But it is unlikely he will get many minutes with David de Gea looking like he is back in form after coming under immense pressure a couple of months back.
Thus, a short loan spell at Parkhead could be a brilliant move for Henderson. He will get the regular playing time that he craves. While Celtic will get a top class keeper for the rest of the season and also solve their issue between the sticks.
Now let’s see if the Hoops actually go ahead and try to get the move done. If Barkas or Bain don’t improve drastically over the next few months then it makes complete sense. It will be a massive show of ambition with 10IAR on the line and one that could end up making the difference at the end of the season.
