Sky Sports Pundit makes serious Odsonne Edouard accusation
The Sky Sports Pundit has made a serious accusation against Odsonne Edouard with the Celtic talisman struggling for form this season.
It is no secret that Celtic have not got to a flying start this season. Despite spending heavily in the summer transfer window in preparation for 10IAR, they have failed to find their best form and as a result, already find themselves chasing the Rangers in the league.
With just two wins from their last seven games in all competitions, it is safe to say that not many of the players have stood out for the Hoops in recent weeks. And perhaps the most worrying of them all is the terrible form of Odsonne Edouard.
The Frenchman who was often the driving force the club last season has failed to show his quality on a consistent basis this time around. As a result, the Hoops’ form has also suffered badly.
Sky Sports Pundit and former Celtic player, Andy Walker, believes that a huge reason for this is the fact that Edouard does not care much about 10IAR. As reported by The Scottish Sun, he said:
"“I think the biggest problem is Odsonne Edouard. He is Celtic’s talisman.“I think he didn’t get the move he was looking for in the summer and that’s why he has been off it.“I know that he has had his Covid issues, but this ten-in-a-row obsession, some players are not interested in ten-in-a-row.“As a manager, Neil Lennon can’t really take it as a personal insult that players don’t care as much about that as you do.“You have to try and find a way of getting them on side, and I think that’s going to be a problem in the weeks and months to come; to get Odsonne Edouard back on side, to get Olivier Ntcham back on side, and let them give everything they can for Celtic while they are here.“They don’t care about ten-in-a-row, they just want to play in a winning team and their culture is to get a move to a bigger league and play for more money.“Until then, the manager has to try and get as much as he can out of them.”"

Odsonne Edouard has been at the club long enough to know what 10IAR means to the fans. And it is nothing new for him to face accusations of being disinterested on the pitch. At this point, it is time to accept that it is just his style of play.
Yes, he has failed to find his best form this season and is struggling pretty badly right now. After a hattrick on Flag Day, his performances have dipped to the point where it is questionable whether he should even be starting anymore.
We all know though how good he can be on his day. And hopefully he can find his scoring boots as soon as possible. Because Celtic do need their French talisman if they want to bring this season back on track and make a charge for the title.
