Kris Boyd has somehow found a way to turn the attention towards the Celtic fans despite two Rangers players getting caught breaking the rules.

Life comes at you fast. Just a couple of months ago, Rangers fans were calling for Celtic to be docked points and forced to forfeit games after Boli Bolingoli took a trip to Spain without letting the club officials know. But now they find their own two players breaking the rules. Unsurprisingly, the noise coming out of Ibrox is not as strong this time around.

The two players in question are Jordan Jones and George Edmundson. Of course, those associated with the club will find ways to play things down and how the club took care of things very early. But the reality of the matter is that it is Police officers who arrived on the scene as reported by The Scottish Sun.

Kris Boyd, who had previously asked for both the Scottish champions and Aberdeen to forfeit games has changed tune this time around though. And he has somehow found a way to take a swipe at Hoops supporters in the middle of all this.

He wrote in his column in The Scottish Sun:

"I would have been saying Rangers would have needed to forfeit points for games postponed, just as I said for Celtic and Aberdeen. But this is different so that’s not an issue, even though some hard-of-understanding Celtic supporters out there will no doubt be claiming double standards on my part.Fact is, Rangers nipped this in the bud before it became an issue. And all they need to do is discipline the two players involved."

While both the players have been suspended since then, what are the chances they would have even been caught if the officers had not arrived at the scene. Thus, the situation is very similar to that of Bolingoli, where the players decided to take matters into their own hands.

Yes, the two Rangers stars were caught earlier than Bolingoli but that is no credit to the Ibrox side. It is not like these were Ibrox officials who walked up to the party and caught the two in question red-handed.

Kris Boyd has to be commended though for finding new ways every time to involve Hoops fans in his articles. Take this occasion for instance when the word ‘Celtic’ should not even been mentioned in his column. And yet here we are, apparently ‘hard-of-understanding’.
