Two Rangers players have been found breaking rules and have been placed in isolation as we await to see what decision the governing bodies take.

How quickly tables can turn. Remember when Boli Bolingoli decided to break rules and go on a trip to Spain without information any of the club officials? Back then, Rangers fans had decided that the Belgian had committed one of the worst crimes in football history and as a result Celtic should be docked points and forced to forfeit their upcoming games. If they had their way, perhaps even kicked out of the league.

Well, the Rangers might themselves in a similar spot right about now. And it will be interesting to see what punishment those same fans decide that they deserve for not one but two of their players breaking rules and attending a gathering outside of their respective households as reported by The Scottish Sun.

The two players in question are Jordan Jones and George Edmundson. Both have been suspended by the Ibrox club and an investigation will take place now regarding the duo’s actions.

When the same thing happened with Celtic during the aforementioned Bolingoli saga, there was widespread outrage in the media. Hopefully, we see something similar this time around as well.

As for the impact on the field, the league clearly has to postpone the Rangers’ next few games. Celtic did have two of their games postponed as a result of Bolingoli’s breach and anything other than that would showcase a double standard when it comes to Scottish football.

As things stand, they are set to take on Hamilton Academical and Aberdeen in the Premiership next while they also have an away trip to Portugal lined up in their Europa League Group Stage game against Benfica on Thursday. And it will be interesting to see which or how many of these end up going through.
