Pundit Alan Brazil believes that the Celtic is no longer bothered and has downed his tools after a bad patch of form in recent weeks.

There is no denying that Celtic have not performed to the best of their abilities for quite some time now. And while the lion’s share of the blame has fallen on Neil Lennon’s shoulders for his management and tactics, most of the players have seemed out of form as well.

Last night’s 2-2 draw away in Lille was a positive result though and the fans would have been delighted with it if not for the fact that the club has failed to win in four straight games. And after going into the second half with a 2-0 lead, they probably should have got the job done.

Yet, Lille are a brilliant team and currently sit at second in Ligue 1, behind Paris Saint-Germain only on goal difference. Thus, overall, the Hoops should be happy with the result and hope that this is the turning point to their season.

Pundit Alan Brazil though believes that Olivier Ntcham has already downed his tools and is not bothered anymore. As reported by Herald Scotland, he said:

"“[Olivier] Ntcham, he looks as if he’s tools down and not bothered. I think when Celtic get the squad back then it’s going to be close. Neil [Lennon] doesn’t have a great squad, but in terms of Scottish football, Celtic’s squad is as good as any so they’ve just got to get on with it and go on a run.”"

To be very honest, Ntcham has not been at his best over the past few weeks and deserves to be dropped on current form. But that does not mean that he is not trying. It might very well just be a rough patch of form.

A number of our players have not been at the top of their game this season and it is unfair to point out the Frenchman for his performances. He is widely considered as one of the most technically gifted players at the club right now and on his day, he is a brilliant player. Unfortunately, he has not had many of those days lately.

In fact, he started the game very well against Lille, like he had against AC Milan. But faded away as the game went on. Again, similar to last week.

It is no secret that Ntcham has wanted to leave Celtic in the past. And probably he might still do. But that is no reason to hold that over his game every time he goes through bad form.
