AC Milan legend and former Ballon d’Or winner Kaká has made an admission about Celtic Park from his experiences there as a player.

Considering the size and history of the two clubs, Celtic and AC Milan would not have looked out of place in the Champions League. But both teams have struggled in Europe in recent years and as a result, a glamour tie in the Europa League is what we were served last night.

That does not mean that the two have not taken part in some great battles over the years on the biggest stage in Europe in the past. And AC Milan legend Kaka seems to have great memories of those duels.

Speaking before the two sides faced off last night, Kaka heaped some praise on the atmosphere at Celtic Park, describing it as one of the best in Europe on his Twitter:

Unfortunately, the players last night were not able to be witness to that atmosphere, which only Celtic Park can produce on a big European night.

The Hoops have bigger issues right now. They lost out to the Rangers in the first Glasgow Derby of the season in the weekend, which has left them chasing their rivals in the Premiership with 10IAR on the line. But the most disheartening thing about the defeat was perhaps toothless performance which caused.

Last night, they put in a much improved yet losing effort against AC Milan. And while there were positives to take from the game, they cannot get used to losing.

Next Sunday, the team will travel to Pittodrie Stadium to take on Aberdeen. And anything other than all three points would be considered a catastrophe even this early in the season. It is safe to say that Neil Lennon is walking the managerial tightrope at the moment and the next defeat could knock him over.
