Celtic have revealed the TV plans for the club’s Europa League games this season and they won’t be available on the Virtual Season Ticket.

Celtic’s Europa League campaign promises to be an exciting affair after being drawn into one of the best groups in the competition. Consisting of the Hoops, AC Milan, Lille and Sparta Prague, it is arguable that the group would not look out of place in the Champions League.

Without doubt, the two ties with AC Milan promise to be the glamour ties of the group stage. Both clubs have a long history and have two of the most dedicated fanbases in the world. It is a shame that fans will not be there inside Parkhead when Zlatan Ibrahimovic and company come visiting.

Lille are no pushovers either and have performed admirably over the past two seasons in Ligue 1. And there is no doubt that Celtic’s qualification to the next knockout stage would probably depend the most on how they perform against the French side.

Sparta Prague are the third team in the group. And their manager’s comments about Celtic being the easiest team to face has made that tie must watch as well.

Unfortunately for those fans who have the Virtual Season Ticket, they won’t be able to watch the game on it as was earlier by the Celtic SLO. BT Sport have exclusive rights to both the competitions.

Let’s hope that the Hoops can repeat last season’s heroics in the competition once again which saw them beat out the likes of Lazio and Rennes to make it to the knockout stage. It is arguable that their group is just as difficult this time around as well but we know that this team is capable of beating even the strongest teams on their day.

Similarly though, they are capable of losing matches that they should be winning with ease. Thus, it will be interesting to see which version of this team shows up. After failing to qualify for the Champions League for the third straight season, a long Europa League campaign is the least the fans will be demanding from the Bhoys.
