FIFA 21 Rating of every Celtic player

With FIFA 21’s full release yesterday, we take a look at the Celtic’s squad ratings and compare them to the rest of the SPFL.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of football fans flock to buy EA Sports’ annual FIFA football video game, with the pandemic lockdown leading to a massive spike in sales of last year’s iteration, the newest installment released Friday is likely to draw just as much interest.

While Celtic FC may have an official partnership with rival video game Pro Evolution Soccer, FIFA continues to outsell its competitor. Hoops fans looking to purchase the game will be happy to know that, as expected, the club are the best-rated within the league.

Neil Lennon’s Bhoys have an overall rating of 73 attack, 75 midfield, and 73 defending, besting the second-highest rated SPFL side Rangers’ 72/71/73 rating.

Within their Europa League group in the game, Celtic stack up fairly well, with AC Milan leading the pack at 83/77/78, Lille at 77/77/75, and Sparta Praha at 72/72/70.

Starting with the strikers, Celtic are lead by star man Odsonne Edouard at 75, backed by Albian Ajeti at 72, Leigh Griffiths at 72, Patryk Klimala at 66.

The midfielders are lead by new loanee Diego Laxalt at 77, followed by Forrest and McGregor both at 76, then Scott Brown, Ryan Christie, and Mo Elyounoussi all at 75. Oliver Ntcham comes in at 73 along with Tom Rogic, then Micheal Johnston at 70.

The midfielders are rounded out with Turnbull at 69 and Soro at 68, then both Dembele and Henderson at 63.

In defense, the Hoops’ loanee and thus far mountain of a defender Shane Duffy is rated at 77, being followed by Jullien at 75, Ajer at 73, then Frimpong, Taylor, and Abd Elhamed all at 71. Rounding out the defenders are Bitton at 69 and Ralston at 65.

The goalkeepers come with Barkas at 75, Bain at 72, and Hazard at 64.

Overall, a very respectable rating for the club, one that Hoops fans should be excited to get some game time with, recreating the Bhoys’ run for a tenth straight.
