Chelsea don’t seem to be in much trouble in England’s top-flight. Six points off of second place must be too far for the Blues’ board, which in turn sees Antonio Conte in trouble.

Recent rumors have been ignited further as Chelsea were spanked by Watford by a score of 4-1 at Vicarage Road. The defending Premier League winners suffered another defeat just days before to Bournemouth after losing 3-0.

Add in the fact that Chelsea, like pretty much every other EPL team, are way off of Manchester City by 19 points and things don’t sit well for those at Stamford Bridge.

Plus, the London side only captured three of their seemingly many desired targets in the transfer market. Ross Barkley and Olivier Giroud were brought in, while Edin Dzeko still features with Roma in Italy.

All of these recent failures have put Conte right in the hot seat, despite the former Juventus boss winning the Premier League in his first season in charge.

Knee-jerk reactions have looked to have swarmed across the Blues’. Some supporters have even noted a want for a new manager soon.

Football Fancast notes that some want the usual suspects in Diego Simeone or Luis Enrique, but this publication suggested a return to England for Brendan Rodgers.

More from The Celtic Bhoys

"Chelsea supporters were quick to have their say on the Northern Irishman via social media, and while one said “we need Brendan Rodgers back at the Bridge”, another said “Brendan Rodgers would be a decent shout”."

Of course, Rodgers spent time with Liverpool a few years back, but the Northern Irishman also managed the Chelsea reserve team earlier in his career.

Celtic have taken a bit of dip in form recently with a 1-0 loss to Kilmarnock, but they still continue their reign at the top of the table. The Bhoys look very well qualified to go for another treble this season, which has been overseen by the genius of Rodgers.

The reports come with some humor among those at Chelsea. Rodgers will most likely remain with the Celts for as long as possible. Rodgers’ project is far from over with talents that could storm through Europe still being in the process of development.

Plus, it looks as if the Chelsea players are still behind the works of Conte at the moment.

Everybody knows how dangerous the rumor mill is, but this one is really less than a rumor. Supporters are throwing everything in the water for seemingly no reason; Chelsea are still in the top four of the EPL.

Celtic supporters won’t be taking the click-bait from this recent report, and Rodgers will continue to work at what could be another season finished with an array of silverware.

The Celts host Partick Thistle in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup on the 10th of February.

Stay tuned.
