Celtic have quite a long list of potential exits in this window. However, not much selling has happened for the Bhoys this January.

That’s aside from Kundai Benyu, who was loaned out to Oldham Athletic very recently. Benyu, Ross Doohan, Eboue Kouassi and Cristian Gamboa have all be rumored to be out on loan soon. On the other hand, Erik Sviatchenko and Mikael Lustig seem to be the only likely permanent moves away from Celtic.

Now, several publications have indicated that Liam Henderson might be out in this window too, adding to the already long and concerning list of exits.

The Celtic Academy product has been out of form for the duration of this season. Henderson only made one appearance and failed to make any other contributions. By the looks of it, the 21-year-old has yet to suffer an injury in this term either.

Regardless, other clubs seem to still have hope in the Scotland U-21 international. It’s been reported that Hibernian, Preston North End and Bari have all been linked with potential interest.

Henderson’s market value is around 500,000 pounds, so Celtic could make some decent cash if they were willing to sell. The Celts will have to be quick if they were to sell Henderson as a result of his contract that expires at the end of the season.

FutNSoccer went on to give some opinion as to why selling the midfielder might be the best option, when saying:

"For all his talents and potential, breaking into the first team picture at Parkhead won’t be happening anytime soon for Henderson, and it’s only right that both player and club part ways and move on."

Celtic could always use some more room in the middle of the park. Lewis Morgan will join the Bhoys next season, and it’s been rumored that Charly Musonda could find his way into Brendan Rodgers‘ side very soon.

Regardless of the fact that Henderson had successful loan spells at an array of clubs in the past, he just hasn’t been able to live up to his potential with the Hoops. Celtic could give him a chance, but with recent arrivals plus the players that already start, that option seems unlikely.
