One of the hottest properties in Europe currently wears a Celtic kit. The player has taken Scotland and the rest of European football by storm with his natural goal scoring ability. Now, he’s gathered interest from some of Europe’s elite.

We’re talking about Moussa Dembele of course. The French national came over from Fulham in the summer of 2016 and immediately made an impact with Brendan Rodgers’ side. The 21-year-old scored 21 goals in 25 appearances in the last campaign.

The sublime play only continued from Dembele this season. Moussa has 8 goals in all competitions this season. He’s scored 7 goals in his last 10 matches, two of which came against top Scottish side Aberdeen.

The most elite club’s in Europe boast a colossal amount of money. When those clubs come calling for one of your players, it’s almost likely that the player will be gone sooner rather than later.

Dembele’s case falls perfectly under this scenario. At the moment, the young ace has garnered interest from the likes of Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Dortmund and Liverpool.

More from The Celtic Bhoys

Jurgen Klopp currently needs a replacement for the struggling Daniel Sturridge who only has a pair of goals in 9 appearances. But, with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane on the squad, Liverpool seem pretty set on the attack.

Chelsea and Atletico seem like unrealistic options as well, considering they both bought strikers in Alvaro Morata and Diego Costa, respectively.

Dortmund looks like the best candidate for the 21-year-old, as another Dembele in Ousmane left for Barcelona this past summer.

The plethora of teams interested in Dembele has left some confusion on both the player and on Celtic. Moussa admits that he’s uncertain of his future, according to the Metro.

"‘I can say it [staying at Celtic] is part of the plan but the plan can change,’ said Dembele.‘As long as I am here I will give 100 per cent but I don’t know until when. I just focus on my football and give my best for the club, and we will see"

Celtic continue to develop young stars that can dominate in the future, only for them to be stripped away by the biggest clubs in the world of football. We can only hope that Dembele could stay until next summer.

If not, the Celts are likely going to have to look for another attacker soon.
