The two Glasgow teams had very different nights in Europa League. It was Martin O'Neill's last European game in charge of Celtic and arguably their best performance away from home in a continental competition in years. They won 3-1 against Feyenoord away at De Kuip and quite comfortably to be honest.
On the other hand, it had looked like the Rangers were on their way to victory themselves. They were leading 1-0, thanks to a James Tavernier penalty, when SC Braga were shown a red card. But instead of capitalising on that, they ended up giving away the equaliser eight minutes later and it ended in a draw.
The club are not at a point where the majority of the fans have started to question new manager Danny Rohl. But there seems to be an acknowledgement that this is not a good team.
One would imagine that was pretty obvious, given they have changed managers four seasons in a row now. And if things do not turn around quickly, there will inevitably be calls for Rohl to be shown the exit door as well.
'Worse than our League 2 team?' - Rangers react to drawing vs 10-man Braga
How bad is this current Rangers team? Well, one of their fans wrote on a fan forum: "Do you think the current team are worse than our League 2 team?"
What a question that is, to be honest. And the fact that it is even being discussed just goes on to show how bad the Rangers have been lately.
This is not a good team by any stretch of the imagination. And even more worrying for the club would be the fact that they spent a significant amount of money in the summer, assembling this squad. So, where do they go from here? We shall find out pretty soon.
