It is safe to say that quite a few people have found out lately that the grass is not greener on the other side after leaving Celtic. Of course, mostly, it has been players. Take the likes of Odsonne Edouard and Kyogo, for example. They were absolute club heroes at Parkhead but have barely done anything of note since leaving.

Struggles after leaving Celtic are not limited to just players though. Ange Postecoglou has found things tough as well.

His spell at Tottenham Hotspur had its moments for sure. Early on, they were looking like title contenders. And while that faded away, they did win the Europa League in his second season with Spurs, ending an 18-year wait for silverware, although that did not stop the club from sacking him in the summer after finishing 17th in the Premier League.

Postecoglou did not have to wait long for his next job as he has joined Nottingham Forest. But the Celtic hero's start there has been terrible, as he is still searching for his first win and a sack might not be far away if things do not improve immediately.

Manchester United and England icon, Wayne Rooney, has faced his own struggles in management. And it looks like he has been impressed with what he has seen from Postecoglou.

At the same time, he seems to be aware though that Nottingham Forest might not have much patience if he does not start producing results quickly. As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Rooney said about the situation:

"I saw his interview, and I thought it was real class interview.

“I like Ange. I think he speaks well. He is honest.

“But again, like Russell Martin, if the results don’t come, the Forest fans don’t seem to have taken to him, and that can bring pressure."

To be very honest, it does not look like things are heading in the right direction for the manager. We always hope the best for him but as things stand, it is hard to see him turning it around at Forest anytime soon.

Postecoglou has not tasted victory with Nottingham Forest after his first seven tries. And things are not expected to get any easier. After the international break, they will be taking on Chelsea and if they lose that one as well, it will only increase the pressure on the Aussie manager.
