Celtic are enjoying a very good season right now. They are comfortably leading the Premiership title race, are in the final of the Scottish League Cup and also have a decent chance of making the Champions League playoffs. But that does not mean that things are going well for all of their players at the moment.
One high-profile name that is not getting chances this season is Luis Palma. Signed from Aris FC last year, he had looked like one of the club's best players early on in his run at Parkhead.
Palma provided both goals and assists consistently, and even proved himself at the Champions League level, scoring against teams like Atletico Madrid. But over time, we have seen him lose his place in the starting XI.
Palma has slipped way down the pecking order and at the moment, he is not even making the bench on most occasions. As a result, an exit seems inevitable and it looks like there is interest from the MLS in his signature ahead of the January transfer window.
Two clubs want to sign 24-year-old Celtic player in January
As reported by 67 Hail Hail, two MLS clubs are considering a move for Palma. Both Atlanta United and Orlando City have the Honduran winger on their shortlist of names of potential signings. But there has not yet been any official approach from either club for the player.
Palma is certainly someone with a lot of quality in the final third of the pitch. Even this season, he has shown that while away with the Honduran national team. He scored a brace against Mexico not too long ago.
Unfortunately, that has not led to more first-team opportunities at Celtic Park for Palma. As a result, a change of scenery might be the best step for all parties involved.
