Celtic are not the only club looking for a manager at the moment. The sackings have started in the Premier League. Of course, we all know about Nottingham Forest showing Ange Postecoglou the exit door after just 39 days in charge. Now, it is Wolves have taken the step of parting ways with their head coach.

Wolves have sacked Vitor Pereira and it is an understandable decision, to be honest. The club have made a winless start to the Premier League season. They lost 3-0 to Fulham at the weekend and have not won once in the first ten games, and have just two points.

It is safe to say that relegation is a very real possibility for Wolves, as they sit at the bottom of the Premier League table. Brendan Rodgers has famously been linked with the job, although it remains to be seen whether he will take that sort of a challenge so soon after resigning from Celtic.

On the other hand, it looks like two of Celtic's rumoured targets to replace Rodgers, are in the running for the Wolves job as well. Robbie Keane and Michael Carrick have been placed amongst the favourites in the race, although it is unclear whether the Premier League club are indeed pursuing them at this moment or not.

Keane has seemed like a realistic target for Celtic following Rodgers' exit. He is the current Ferencvaros boss and it has been suggested in the media that he is open to the idea of taking over at Parkhead. On the other hand, several other rumoured targets like Ange Postecoglou, Craig Bellamy, Mark van Bommel and Kieran McKenna have been ruled out already.

On the other hand, Carrick's name has only been loosely linked with Celtic. It remains to be seen whether they will pursue his signature or not.

All things considered, the fans might not be delighted if either of them is brought in as the next manager. They will be hoping for a more proven name after how things ended with Rodgers.
