The 24/25 season is not over yet. Celtic have already clinched the league title and will be aiming to wrap this campaign up with a domestic treble, with the Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen yet to be played. But on the other hand, the summer transfer window is around the corner and clubs are already starting to put plans in place for that.
Celtic fans will be hoping that the club have already started to lay the foundations for summer moves. On the other hand, there are quite a few, who could be headed for the Parkhead.
It is not just players who might be looking to leave Celtic. It looks like Darren O'Dea could be on his way down south as well.
As reported by Anthony Joseph, Swansea City have contacted Celtic in a bid to land O’Dea as their new assistant manager. It’s understood that the Championship club want to appoint the Hoops' pathways manager as part of new boss Alan Sheehan’s coaching team.
Sky Sports man confirms talks with Celtic over move
O'Dea has a long history with Celtic. He came through the youth ranks and played a decent bit of football for the senior team. After that, he also coached the U18 and B Team, and is currently the pathways manager.
But if recent rumours are anything to go by, then it looks like he is interested in leaving his job and taking up the coaching role at Swansea City. Perhaps that what interests him more.
If O'Dea did end up leaving, then we can only wish him the best of luck. Following a change in ownership, it looks like Swansea City are looking to make a run for Premier League promotion. And it is not hard to understand why the Irishman might want to be a part of that project.
