There are going to be both incomings and outgoings at Celtic this summer. Both key players and the squad's fringe members have been linked with moves away. On the other hand, it looks like the Hoops could make quite a few additions as well in order to strengthen Brendan Rodgers' squad. It is not just on the pitch that moves are set to take place though.

It looks like there could be a behind-the-scenes change at Celtic soon. Darren O'Dea has been linked with a move to Swansea City over the past week.

O'Dea came through the youth ranks at Celtic, played senior-level football for the club, coached the youth and developmental sides, and is now the pathways manager. But it looks like he is going to bring an end to his time at Parkhead very soon, if things go according to plan.

As reported by Anthony Joseph, Swansea City are close to an agreement to appoint O’Dea as their new assistant manager at the end of the season. Talks have advanced.

Of course, O'Dea leaving would have to be viewed as a blow for Celtic. He is someone who knows the club very well and could have contributed a lot moving forward.

It is what it is though. It seems like O'Dea feels like he is more suited to the coaching side of things and at Swansea City, he will get the chance to do that, and at the top level for the first time. In the past, he has managed the U18 sides at Celtic and Motherwell as well as the Hoops' B Team.

Swansea City have new owners and it looks like they want to take the club back to the Premier League. So, it is an exciting for someone like O'Dea to become a part of.
