Fans expect Celtic to be busy during the summer transfer window. The club might be closing in on their sixth treble in nine years but that does not mean that this squad does not have any weaknesses. In fact, they have quite a few if their performances in the second half of the season are anything to go by. Hopefully, the Hoops will do their best to take care of those issues during the off-season and ideally before the Champions League qualifying round.

Adding depth on the wing might be necessary this summer. That is especially true if Nicolas Kuhn ends up leaving the club, having been linked with plenty of Premier League teams in recent months.

Kuhn has not been great in recent months. In fact, he seems to have dropped out of the starting XI. But nobody can deny his overall contribution to the team this season. At times, he carried them to wins in the first half of the season, and scored against the likes of Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Rangers.

On the other hand, Celtic have been linked with a similar profile of player in recent weeks. Someone who has earned comparisons to Xhardan Shaqiri. Could he end up at Parkhead in the summer?

As reported by Football League World, Sky Sports pundit David Prutton said when asked whether Million Manhoef could be tempted to join Celtic:

"I think firstly, you can instantly see the attraction of what being a Celtic player would be.

"Never having had the privilege of being north of the border playing, but knowing people that played for both sides of that particular divide, their description and their passion for it is all-consuming.

"So, I think swapping a club that's perennially bottom-half in the Championship, which again, from Stoke's point of view needs to be addressed ASAP; a glaring gulf between a team as we saw on Monday in Leeds heading back to the Premier League, and a team in Stoke that were once part of the Premier League furniture is there for all to see.

"A chastening reminder for Mark Robins about the job that needs to be done at Stoke, and if Million is not going to be part of that, then if he ends up at Celtic, it's a tremendous move for him."

Manhoef currently plays for Stoke City. Once Premier League regulars, the Potters now find themselves sitting at 17th in the Championship table. So, it is not hard to understand why the chance to join Celtic could be an attractive proposition for the Dutchman.

At Celtic, he would get the chance to compete for trophies on a regular basis and, hopefully, also feature at the Champions League level. That might be a hard offer to turn down, if it is made.
