Although it is believed that Celtic have pre-contract deals in place with both Kieran Tierney and Ross Doohan, who recently made his Scotland international debut, neither of those moves have been officially announced. Of course, it is only a matter of time. On the other hand, it looks like the club are closing in on the addition of a striker to their squad.

Celtic are set to see a very highly-regarded striker leave this summer with Daniel Cummings set to join West Ham United. It looks like they have found a similar profile to take his place at Parkhead.

Celtic need a third-choice striker to compete with Daizen Maeda and Adam Idah. There have been suggestions that Johnny Kenny could be sent out on loan again. On the other hand, it looks like they are close to signing a centre-forward who has shined for Fulham at the youth level.

As reported by Sky Sports, Celtic are close to agreeing terms with Callum Osmand. He has indicated his desire to join the Glasgow giants despite being offered an extension by Fulham.

Osmand will join Celtic if personal terms can be agreed. Judging by the media speculation, it feels like that agreement is not far away.

The Fulham striker scored 10 goals and provided 4 assists in 17 Premier League 2 appearances last season. It remains to be seen if he can carry that form to the senior level. If he can then Celtic might have quite the player on their hands.

Of course, Celtic will have to be ready to give someone like Osmand chances at the senior level, if they are to help in his development and see him reach his full potential. This is something that the Hoops have struggled to do with their talents in recent times.
