As we get closer to the summer transfer window, it looks like Celtic are now starting to lay the foundations for the moves they will be trying to make. One of the areas where the Hoops need to bring in reinforcements is on the flanks. Jota is out injured, potentially for the remainder of the year, while Nicolas Kuhn has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, with rumours around Brentford growing as a potential replacement for Bryan Mbeumo.

On the other hand, Celtic have been linked with quite a few wingers as well. And it looks like they have started talks to sign at least one of them.

As reported by Sky Sports, Celtic have now reopened talks over a potential deal for Sondre Orjasaeter. Clubs in Germany and the Netherlands also want to sign the Sarpsborg 08 winger but no concrete offers have been made yet.

Celtic saw a bid in the region of €5 million rejected in the January transfer window. Back then, Sarpsborg 08 were looking for a figure around the region of £7 million. How much do they want now with interest in the player growing further since then?

When Celtic have a target, they often try to sign him over multiple windows, if not successful at first. The problem is, oftentimes, the interest in these players grows. That has been the case with Orjasaeter here.

Let's see what the future holds for him. Will we get to see him playing in the green-and-white jersey of Celtic in the near future? Time shall tell.

The most important thing is that Celtic do bring in a winger this summer. They cannot leave that area empty, like they did with Kyogo's void in the winter transfer window.
