Despite the horror start that Wilfried Nancy has made as the new Celtic manager, it looks like the club are not ready to sack him yet. Instead, they might be looking to make some signings in the January transfer window in hopes that things will fall into place for the Frenchman. Of course, that would be a risky move. He has seemed completely out his depth in the Parkhead job and prolonging this run could end up costing the Hoops the entire season.

Then again, it is no surprise that the chiefs might not be willing to give up on the Nancy experiment just yet. That would be equivalent to admitting that they made a complete mistake in appointing him in the first place even though a large section of the fanbase had expressed their doubts about hsi credentials to take on a job of this magnitude.

It remains to be seen what kind of signings the club end up making. On the other hand, there are some players who could head in the opposite direction as well.

As reported by Sky Sports, Birmingham City and Norwich City have renewed their interest in Hyun-jun Yang. Preston North End are keen as well.

Birmingham City had been on the verge of completing the signing of Yang late in the summer transfer window. But Celtic took a bit too long to sanction the deal, which led to the English club choosing to move on to other targets. Now, it looks like they could be back trying to sign the South Korean international. They are not the only English clubs looking for his signature this winter though.

Yang has been getting consistent minutes in recent times. Of course, that does not mean that he has been a standout performer.

On the contrary, it feels like he is someone who will never be good enough to start regularly for Celtic. So, if the right offer is on the table, the club should consider it.
