This summer transfer window seems to be moving pretty fast if you are a Celtic fan. Normally, we have not seen the club show much urgency when it comes to getting deals over the line with Brendan Rodgers as manager. But with just a year left on his contract, it appears that the Hoops might be looking to make an impression and convince the Northern Irishman to extend his deal.

The arrivals of Kieran Tierney, Isaac English, Ross Doohan and Benjamin Nygren have all been officially announced. Several other deals might not be far away either. For example, it is believed everything is agreed over Callum Osmand's move from Fulham.

Of course, one has to wonder what kind of effect Osmand's arrival will have on Johnny Kenny. After a stellar loan stint at Shamrock Rovers, he returned to Celtic in the winter. But chances were hard to come by.

That does not mean that Celtic are looking to part ways already. As reported by Anthony Joseph, Celtic have rejected a £500,000 bid from Bolton Wanderers for Kenny. They’re not too keen on the transfer, but may be open to a loan later in the window. The English club are expected to come back in with another offer.

Chances were limited for Kenny as he was behind Daizen Maeda and Adam Idah in the pecking order. He still managed a goal and an assist in 195 minutes of football. A respectable contribution.

But with Osmand expected to arrive, could Kenny slip further down the pecking order? The Welsh youth international had a solid season at youth and developmental level for Fulham as well and was nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Season.

Let's see what the future holds for Kenny and Osmand. For now, it looks like Celtic are planning to have a look at both over pre-season before making a decision on their next step.
