The Dundee FC result seems to have caused a clear change in the thinking of Celtic fans regarding Brendan Rodgers and his future at the club. Now, a lot of people seem open to the idea of the Northern Irishman leaving Parkhead. And to be very honest, it is very easy to see why that is the case as well.

Rodgers has never managed to recapture the magic of his first spell the second time around. Of course, results and winning are the most important things in football and he was at least producing in that regard, even if the style was boring.

Now, that has stopped as well. And as a result, a lot of Celtic fans are now calling for change in the hot seat, whether it be in the middle of this season or the end of it.

Not many would have expected to see Rodgers in this situation but then, not many would have predicted that Hearts would be five points ahead of Celtic in the title race heading into November either. In fact, it could be an eight point gap, depending on how things play out at Tynecastle Park. It is easy to see the Hoops losing on current form, that is for sure.

'All-in' - Si Ferry makes bold Ange Postecoglou to Celtic return claim

Si Ferry appears to be somone who would be open to the idea of a Postecoglou return. As reported by 67 Hail Hail, he said on Open Goal:

"It looked like it to me with that half. But he’ll see out the season. Here’s a question though – if Celtic lose to Hearts, should they be looking to change the manager?

“There goes timing as well, Ange has just become available as well. If you get the chance to get the big man back, mate, I’m all-in."

Postecoglou is without a club at the moment, having been shown the exit door recently. That does open up a chance for Celtic to bring him back to Parkhead.

There is no guarantee that he will be available come the end of the season though. And that is why there might be a need to make a decision quickly if the Hoops do indeed want him back.

That being said, it is hard to imagine that Rodgers will be sacked as Celtic manager unless things go completely off the tracks this season. A lot will depend on how the players react to the Dundee result and the comments from the manager in the aftermath of it. We will learn a lot about this team and their mentality when they take on Sturm Graz this week.
