It goes without saying that Celtic find themselves in a very difficult spot right now. It is hard to think of a way by which the Hoops can improve from here, as they have looked toothless since the start of the campaign. And the results have stopped coming as well, with Brendan Rodgers' side winning just one of their last five games across all competitions.

On top of that, some of the comments made by Rodgers after the Dundee FC defeat might not go down well with the players. So, is this the beginning of the end for the manager at Celtic? We shall find out soon.

On the other hand, it is very clear that whether Rodgers stays or leaves, Celtic do need to improve this squad by bringing in some proven quality. They have made enough project signings over the years and they simply have not worked out lately.

One of the players they have been linked with a move for down the line, when his contract runs out, is John McGinn. The club were very close to signing him before his move to Aston Villa. Could they finally get the job done?

Well, there is some bad news regarding that. As reported by Fabrizio Romano, a new Aston Villa deal is almost ready for McGinn.

It is no secret that McGinn grew up as a Celtic fan. That being said, there is very little reason for him to want to leave Aston Villa.

He is the club captain there and will go down as a legend as well. So, it would not come as any surprise if he goes on to sign an extension and extend his stay in the Premier League, ending hopes of a move to Celtic someday.
