Celtic will be looking to put the Premiership title race to bed as soon as possible when they travel to Tannadice Park to face Dundee United this weekend. Even a draw would be enough to crown the Hoops as the champions of Scotland for the fourth-straight season. Of course, even if that happens, do not expect a guard of honour from the Rangers players the following week at Ibrox.

Celtic have faced Dundee United on three occasions so far this season. The Hoops won both times they were at home. But on their last visit to Tannadice Park, the game ended in a goalless draw.

Of course, even that would be enough for Celtic this weekend. But that is not the manner in which they would like to secure the league title. So, hopefully, they will go for the win and score a few goals. Since the defeat to St Johnstone, they have been in good touch in front of goal, scoring 10 times in their last two matches.

The SFA have also confirmed the officials for the game between Celtic and Dundee United. Don Robertson has been appointed as the referee for the day. David Roome and Ross Nelson will be his assistants on the pitch. Greg Aitken will be on VAR duty, with Graeme Leslie as his assistant.

Both sets of fans will be hoping that there are no controversial refereeing calls on the day. But then again, considering the standard of officiating in Scotland, there is always the possibility.

Of course, that is something out of Celtic's control. Their focus has to be on putting on the best performance possible. This game is not just about securing the league title, which is only a matter of time. It is also a chance to get ready for the last Glasgow Derby of the season.

Celtic will travel to Ibrox the following weekend. They have lost back-to-back Glasgow Derbies. And even though the Hoops have a good chance to finish this campaign with a domestic treble, they still have a point to prove against the Rangers.

Brendan Rodgers would not want to manage his team to three straight Glasgow Derby defeats. Especially when you consider the fact that the Northern Irish manager had lost the fixture on just one occasion coming into 2025. So, let's see how the Hoops perform this weekend.
