Celtic are pretty much certain to win the Premiership title. The draw between the Rangers and Aberdeen at the weekend meant that the Hoops need just one more point to become champions of Scotland for the fourth consecutive time. Also, they will get the chance to do that on the pitch when they take on Dundee United. But before that, they have a Scottish Cup semi-final to take care of.

Celtic will meet St Johnstone at Hampden Park in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup this weekend. It is a game that nobody will be taking lightly after the Hoops lost to the opposition away in Perth and could not find a way to score past them.

Of course, that was a bad day at the office for Celtic. But a repeat of it will mean that they are out of the Scottish Cup and along with it, their hopes of winning a sixth treble in nine years will evaporate at the same time.

We now know the officials for the game between Celtic and St Johnstone as SFA have made their announcement. Calum Scott will be the man with the whistle in his pocket. On the sidelines, we will have Graeme Stewart and Dougie Potter. Andrew Dallas has been appointed the VAR official, with Alan Mulvanny assisting him.

Scott has refereed only two Celtic games so far in his career. Both have been wins for the Hoops, 5-0 against Ross County and 5-2 against Falkirk.

Celtic will need to do much better at Hampden Park than they did in Perth, if they want to win this game. One would hope that the Hoops will bring their A-game at the weekend.

Their last performance certainly did provide the fans with hope of that happening. Celtic bounced back from their defeat against St Johnstone with a 5-1 win over Kilmarnock at home.
