Celtic have not been particularly busy during the summer transfer window so far, snapping up just one new signing so far. Camilo Druan joined on a £5.5million deal from Qarabag, but there is no sign of him being joined by other signings just yet, with exits currently looking more likely.
That work is ongoing, while the likes of Rangers are storming ahead with their business as they look to close the gap to the Bhoys, and we have seen plenty of business done across the Scottish Premiership. Here we round up the latest news and transfer rumours from across the top flight.
O'Neill on possible McGregor exit
Martin O'Neill has now spoken about the possible departure of Callum McGregor after the veteran swapped agents, signing up with the agency of Brendan Rodgers' son. That sparked fresh fears, given McGregor was already being linked with a move to Saudi Arabia to join former boss Rodgers.
Speaking to the Scottish Sun, O'Neill said of the situation: “I haven’t had a conversation with Callum yet, but I will during the course of pre-season, to see how he’s fixed.
Are there no fears about him leaving in my eyes? Oh gosh, I didn’t say that. I never know about anybody leaving.
“He’s changed agents? Apparently so. He hasn’t hinted to me he wants to leave at this minute.
That would be a bad blow. But sometimes money is a big thing, particularly when you’re past thirty.”
Rangers want former winger
Rangers are said to be pursuing a deal for former winger Vaclav Cerny this summer, but they have come up short so far. Cerny previously impressed during a loan spell before going on to join Besiktas.
According to journalist Christian Vaquero, the Gers are now making a push to re-sign him as they look to improve their wide positions, and a £5.1million bid is said to have been lodged and subsequently rejected.
Rangers are said to remain confident in a deal, and it's claimed they believe they can seal it for less than £8.5million.
Hearts make 'contact' over midfielder
Hearts are on the lookout for a Cammy Devlin replacement this summer, and Forest Green Rovers midfielder Laurent Mendy is said to be of interest.
Forest Green boss Robbie Savage told the BBC: "No bid. We had a bid last January for Laurent. A bid which we thought was miles under our valuation. There's no bid at all in for Laurent Mendy. I think there has been contact from Hearts but no official offer from any other club. Not from Hearts, not from any other club. So again, I think our stance is pretty clear: Not for sale."
Hearts will be hoping to test Forest Green's resolve if they do press ahead for a deal.
