Jota has looked lively since his return to Celtic in the winter. He had been away from the club for just 18 months but that was a difficult period of time for the Portuguese winger. At first, he joined Al-Ittihad in a Scottish-record move but was out of their first-team plans just weeks after that. He moved to Rennes the following the summer but did not have a much better time there, especially following the arrival of Jorge Sampaoli as manager.

So, when Jota scored against Motherwell in his second debut for Celtic, it was not a surprise to see him shed tears of joy and relief. Since then, he has contributed positively to the team and appears to have established himself as a starter again.

Jota was one of the few who seemed keen to make things happen against St Johnstone. But when it comes to a number of his teammates, it feels like a complacency has crept into their game owing to the large lead Celtic have at the moment.

There was one moment when Jota appeared to get angry with his teammates during the game against St Johnstone. But why?

Real reason Jota got angry with Celtic teammates

As reported by 67 Hail Hail, Paul Slane said while talking on Open Goal:

"One thing about Jota, I seen him at one stage going mental at Trusty.

“Going mental at the back-four for not giving him it quicker. And when he was getting it he was trying to commit someone."

Slane also talked about the difference between Jota and the other options that Celtic have on the flanks right now:

" To me he’s looking to do things whereas with Kuhn and Yang the first thought is to pass it back."

Jota is certainly a direct player. On current form, that cannot be said about Kuhn. The German winger had been playing at an elite level earlier on in the season but has gone into his shell a bit since the turn of the year.

As for Yang, he has shown a lot of improvement in recent times. And one could argue that it is time to hand him a few starts over Kuhn on the right and see what he can do when given consistent playing time.
