It looks like Celtic are continuing to make their presence felt in the transfer market. After getting several deals over the line, both signings and departures, over the first several weeks of the 2025 summer window, another one is now close to completion. An agreement has finally been reached over the move.

Going into the summer, there were plenty of players who were not expected to remain at the club beyond this transfer window. They simply did not have a place in Brendan Rodgers' plans and did not suit the system the manager wanted his team to play.

One name at or near the top of that list is that of Luis Palma. The Honduran has been linked with plenty of clubs in Greece, England and the MLS. But Poland has emerged as his next destination.

As reported by Honduran outlet Diez, Celtic have reached an agreement with Lech Poznan of Poland over Palma's move. It will be a loan for one year with an option to buy.

Some rumours had suggested that the option to buy was set at €4.5 million. That would actually be a record move for the league in Poland. The current one stands at €3 million. So, it remains to be seen if Palma ends up becoming the most expensive player in Polish football history.

Palma is a phenomenal talent. At his best, we have even seen him make an impact for Celtic in the Champions League, scoring a brilliant goal against a team like Atletico Madrid. It is consistency that he seems to lack in his game.

One can only hope that he finds his feet at Lech Poznan. That will help Celtic, whether it results in the Polish club triggering the buyout clause or makes it easier for the Hoops to find Palma a new permanent home next summer.
