The transfer window is in full swing, though there is still a need for patience with just over seven weeks still to go. Celtic fans look likely to see more arrivals, and the next one could be announced any day now. But they should also expect plenty more speculation over both arrivals and departures.
The rumours are many and varied right now. Perhaps the only area relatively free of them is the Celtic goalkeeping slots, with Scott Bain having been replaced by Ross Doohan already.
Elsewhere on the pitch, there are lots of possible signings being considered by fans and no doubt by the club too. The midfield is one such area in need of reinforcements this summer.
Among all those rumours, one name does keep recurring. Lennon Miller, the Motherwell prodigy. He has been expected to take a step up from the Steelmen this summer. The question is, to where?
Bid being prepared for Celtic transfer target
Celtic are always mentioned as being keen on seeing Miller join their squad. The player's father, Lee Miller, has indicated previously that he feels a move abroad might be the preference.
The plan for a move to a European side could now be taking shape. As reported by The Scottish Sun, Como FC have Miller on their transfer wishlist. It’s believed Cesc Fabregas' side are preparing a bid to secure his signature.
That leaves a big decision for Miller and Celtic. The player could have the opportunity for a switch to Italy, or see if the Hoops want to match bids with Como.
The Celtic midfield is already strong though, with Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate, Arne Engels, Luke McCowan, Paulo Bernardo, and new signing Benjamin Nygren all in contention. Sean McArdle made a positive impression there too at the tail end of last season and will have hopes of making a breakthrough. Hyeokkyu Kwon would seem likely to have a move away, loan, or otherwise.
