Celtic are one of the best clubs in the world when it comes to signing youngsters, developing them into first-team regulars and then moving them on for much higher transfer fees to keep the cycle going. So, it should not come as a surprise that every summer, there is one high-profile exit or another, even though the fans are rarely pleased to see the club's best depart.

This summer, plenty of Celtic's best players have been linked with moves away. Daizen Maeda, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Reo Hatate and Arne Engels are believed to be drawing interest from down south and beyond.

But out of them, the one who seems most likely to leave is Nicolas Kuhn. While he had been tremendous in the first half of last season, his form dipped after the turn of the year. And a lot of fans would be more open to the idea of him leaving this summer.

As reported by Chronicle Live, Newcastle United have taken a long, hard look at Kuhn and sent scouts to watch him. Celtic have placed a £15 million transfer valuation on him this summer and there is already interest from RB Leipzig.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Kuhn. Without bringing in a replacement, the club should not let him leave.

That being said, we have seen Celtic being linked with a long list of wingers in recent times. So, one has to wonder, are the Hoops looking for a replacement already?

Kuhn might have struggled in the second half of last season but overall, he was brilliant for Celtic, scoring 21 goals and providing 15 assists. That's 36 goal contributions from a player who was only good for half of the campaign. That's impressive and almost impossible to replace. Of course, one has to question whether it was just a purple patch of form from the German winger or a glimpse of what he is capable of at his best.
