Celtic are believed to have made an approach in an attempt to sign Hugo Bueno on loan from Wolves this summer. This is not the first time that the Hoops have been linked with the Spanish left-back either. The club were believed to be keeping an eye on him during the last winter transfer window as well but nothing materialised from it.

Bueno is 21 years of age and currently the cover left-back at Celtic. As a result, there has been speculation that he could be on his way out this summer in search of regular playing time elsewhere.

Of course, Celtic could do with more options in that area of the pitch. Greg Taylor is pretty much the only option that Brendan Rodgers has right now when it comes to the left-back position following Alexandro Bernabei's loan exit not too long ago.

As tweeted by Anthony Joseph, it is understood that Celtic are one of a number of clubs who have approached Wolves to take Bueno on loan this summer. But the Premier League club are not interested in letting the left-back depart at this stage of the window.

Of course, the situation could always change but one has to wonder how long Celtic would be willing to wait for Bueno. The start of the new season is not far away.

Interestingly, Celtic are already being linked with another Premier League left-back. It is believed that they are interested in Owen Beck of Liverpool. The Hoops got a chance to see him in action up close last season, as he spent the campaign on loan at Dundee FC.

Just like Bueno, they were believed to be interested in Beck last winter as well. But a move failed to materialise and he ended up returning to Dundee FC on loan eventually.
