Sky Sports man confirms Celtic interest in Liverpool defender
One of the positions where Celtic need to bring in reinforcements this summer is left-back. Greg Taylor has been the starter there for several seasons now. But there needs to be competition at Parkhead, and unfortunately, that is not the case in that area of the pitch. Hopefully, that will change this summer.
Celtic have been linked with a few left-backs in recent times. And it looks like their interest in one of their former transfer targets has reemerged.
As tweeted by Anthony Joseph, Celtic and QPR have expressed an interest in Owen Beck. The Hoops would prefer a permanent deal; while the English Championship club would like a loan. Other EFL clubs are keen too. Liverpool are open to offers, but would expect their valuation to be met in case he leaves permanently.
Of course, Beck is no stranger to Scottish football. He spent time on loan at Dundee FC last season. Celtic were believed to be interested in a move last winter as well but it did not end up materialising. Will the Hoops have better luck this time around?

Beck fits the profile of player Celtic have signed in recent years. A youngster, with a lot of room for growth, who could potentially leave for a much higher transfer fee in the future.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Beck. A move away from Liverpool might not be the worst idea for him as he is not expected to get many chances at Anfield unless the club are going through injury problems.
Of course, Beck is not the only left-back to have been linked with a move to Celtic in recent times. Hugo Bueno is rumoured to be on the club's radar as well but pulling off a move for the Wolves defender could prove difficult this summer.
