Celtic have been linked with quite a few players in recent times. One of them is Hugo Bueno of Wolverhampton Wanderers. The left-back was rumoured to be on the Hoops' radar back in the winter transfer window as well but a move did not end up materialising. Could it be on the table this time around?

Bueno is currently part of the first-team squad at Wolves but he is not a regular starter for the club. Naturally, he has been linked with a move away.

As reported by GIVEMESPORT, Bueno is eager to seal a loan move to Celtic. He is said to have serious doubts over whether he would be in line for regular game time if he remains at Molineux for the upcoming season.

So, it looks like the window of opportunity could be open for Celtic this summer. At least, their chances seem much higher than they were at the start of the year.

The ideal situation would be for Celtic to sign Bueno on loan and include a buyout clause in the deal as well. It is unclear how realistic that would be though, considering the type of transfer fee Wolves might potentially end up looking for.

Of course, there is no guarantee that Bueno would be a starter for Celtic either. The club already have Greg Taylor and he is someone who does not get enough credit for his contributions over the past few years. He might not be the best player on the team but he has developed into a solid performer on a consistent basis.

Competition for places is important at clubs like Celtic though and there is none for Taylor at the moment. So, signing someone like Bueno, even on a short-term loan deal, could be a positive step.
