Celtic linked with summer move for Manchester City player
It has been a rather slow summer transfer window for Celtic so far, at least in terms of incomings. They have only added to their options between the posts, bringing in Kasper Schmeichel as a free agent and signing Viljami Sinisalo from Aston Villa. There have been rumours that a deal for Paulo Bernardo is over the line for the past few days as well but nothing has been officially announced.
It would be safe to say that Celtic need to do more this summer, if they want to back Brendan Rodgers and show any kind of real progress in Europe. And it looks like they have a few other targets in mind.
It looks like Celtic are eyeing Hugo Bueno, Scott McKenna, Adam Idah, Bernardo, and a Manchester City loanee. At least that is the suggestion from Tam Selleck, who has over 37 thousand followers on Twitter.
It remains to be seen how accurate the information turns out to be. But if the club are able to add five more names between now and the end of the window, one would think that the majority of the supporters would be content if not happy.
Celtic linked with summer move for Manchester City player
The most interesting part of the rumour is the unnamed Manchester City player. Of course, the two teams met in a pre-season friendly a few days ago, with Celtic coming out on top in a 4-3 thriller.
In the past, Celtic have signed a few players from Manchester City, both on loan and on permanent basis. Let's see if they are able to add to that list this summer.
Manchester City certainly have an exciting group of players in their ranks right now. Even top-level talents struggle to get into Pep Guardiola's team. Just look at how things have gone for Cole Palmer since leaving. Celtic might have plenty of opportunities.
