It has already been more than a year since Ange Postecoglou left Celtic in order to take the Tottenham Hotspur job. It would be safe to say that both seem in decent positions right now. The Hoops won the Premiership and Scottish Cup double last season, and their gap with the Rangers only seems to be increasing. On the other hand, the Australian enjoyed a solid first campaign in the Premier League and has a solid foundation to build upon.

Celtic have said goodbye to a lot of players in the ongoing summer transfer window so far but noone who is a key player in Brendan Rodgers' side. That could change soon, with Matt O'Riley's future at the club under constant doubt.

Tottenham Hotspur are not a club who have been heavily linked with a move for O'Riley. But it looks like the opportunity is on the table to make something happen if they wanted to.

As tweeted by Paul O Keefe, the chance to sign O'Riley has been offered to Tottenham Hotspur by intermediaries. But the insider is not convinced that the club make a move currently.

So, it looks like Tottenham Hotspur are not pursuing the signature of O'Riley at the moment. It is worth pointing out that while the Danish international was signed by Celtic during the Postecoglou era, he has found his best form under the management of Rodgers.

In fact, there was a period of time in the 22/23 season that O'Riley had fallen behind Aaron Mooy in the pecking order at Celtic. So, it should not come as a major surprise that Tottenham Hotspur are not frontrunners for his signature.

There are plenty of other teams looking to sign O'Riley though. Let's see what the future holds for the midfielder.
