Massive update on Dominik Livakovic to Celtic transfer deal
Dominik Livakovic is viewed by many as the ideal replacement for Joe Hart. The Croatian international number one has all the necessary tools to be the long-term solution in goal for Celtic. At the same time, pulling off a deal for him would not be simple, with him having joined Fenerbahce just last summer.
Hart's retirement has left a vacant spot in the Celtic starting XI. One that will hopefully be fulfilled by a fantastic player.
Livakovic seems to tick pretty much all the boxes Celtic will be looking for. That being said, there are seemingly a few stumbling blocks when it comes to any potential deal to sign him this summer.
As reported by Football Insider, Celtic have not yet agreed a deal to sign Livakovic with his wage demands a major hurdle to overcome. Also, Jose Mourinho has only just taken charge of Fenerbahce and the Portuguese manager could be wary of letting the goalkeeper leave before assessing the situation.

So, despite all the speculation around the move and rumours of a deal already being in place, it looks like nothing is close when it comes to the situation involving Celtic and Livakovic. It remains to be seen whether something materialises in the future or not.
This is not the first time Celtic are being linked with Livakovic either. They were believed to be interested in the Croatian goalkeeper before he joined Fenerbahce last summer. Now, the Hoops are in need of a first-choice goalkeeper and the links are back in the headlines.
Of course, Livakovic is not the only goalkeeper Celtic have been linked with. There seems to be a new name doing the rounds of the rumour mill pretty much everyday. Let's see who the Hoops ultimately end up signing.
