Livingston team news

Thankfully for the home team, there is no injury news to report. Martindale will be able to select his strongest lineup but he must keep an eye on four of his players, who are at risk of suspension if they are booked in this match. Those players include Mikey Devlin, Cristian Montano, Ayo Obileye and Mo Sangare, as per Transfermarkt.

Celtic team news

For Celtic, there is plenty more to discuss. Let's start off with the good news, as Yang Hyun-jun will return to action, after completing his two-match suspension before the international break.

Celtic are expected to assess Luis Palma before this match. It doesn't look promising, as the medical team on his international break believed that the winger could miss up to a month of action. As reported by The Scottish Sun, Rodgers said: “I listen to my own medical team. Luis will miss the St Johnstone game and then will hopefully be available not too long after that.”

Reo Hatate is edging closer to a return, which comes as a huge boost to Rodgers. The Celtic Bhoys reported last week that he managed 45 minutes of action in a bounce game, meaning he could be in contention for the Livingston match. The manager should not rush him back quicker than necessary, though.

Liam Scales missed the last Premiership match for Celtic, after picking up an injury in training. The defender faces a race against time to be fit for this game after he was withdrawn from international duty.

Skipper Callum McGregor has been missed by Celtic. The hope is that he is back available after the international break.
