After the magnitude of the defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund away at the Signal Iduna Park, Celtic will be hoping to bounce back as soon as possible. They will get the opportunity to do that this weekend when they travel to Victoria Park to take on Ross County. It is a chance for the Hoops to head into the international break on a positive note but at the same time, a challenge they cannot afford to take lightly.

Unfortunately for Celtic, their injury problems are starting to mount up. Cameron Carter-Vickers has been out for a while already and without him, they looked lost at the back against Borussia Dortmund.

The American international will not feature against Ross County either but he won't be the only. Greg Taylor is joining him on the injured list with a calf issue. The only positive is that Alistair Johnston is fine after it looked like he had picked up an injury away in Dortmund and was subsequently left out of the Canadian national team squad.

As reported by The National, Brendan Rodgers said during a press conference:

"Cam’s still not available.

"We’re hoping that Cam will be ready for after the international break.

“Greg Taylor will miss the game for a slight problem in his calf, so he’ll miss out. Greg probably won’t be too far after [the international break].

“Ali’s fine, he’d come off with a stiff back, but he trained this morning, so he’s okay."

Taylor has been one of Celtic's best performers in recent years and a regular starter. As a result, Celtic will be without at least two of their starting back four against Ross County. Not what you want when looking for a bounce back result.

Alex Valle was one of the few players who did well against Borussia Dortmund though. So, this might be his chance to show what he can bring to the table and make his case to be in the starting XI ahead of Taylor.

No matter what happens this weekend, Celtic need to get a win. Otherwise, the mood going into the international break will not be positive.
