Kieran Tierney is one of the best players to ever come through the Celtic youth system. The defender was a breakthrough star from the club's academy setup, making his first-team debut in 2015. Four years later, he would make a then Scottish-record move to Arsenal for a transfer fee in the region of £25 million.

Unsurprisingly, the defender won his first Premiership title in his debut season. He was also handed some prestigious individual awards for his emergence, including the PFA Scotland, Celtic and SFWA Young Player of the Year awards, three years on the trot.

Eventually, in 2019, Tierney joined Arsenal. Signed under the management of Unai Emery, he won the FA Cup in his first season at the London club and was once viewed as a future captain. However, over time and under the new management of Mikel Arteta, Tierney has lost his place in first-team plans.

Last season, he spent on loan at Real Sociedad. Right now, he is out of action, recovering from an injury he suffered at the EUROs.

Despite being out injured at the moment, Tierney still made the Scottish headlines this week. He was seen in attendance as Arsenal defeated PSG in the Champions League, breaking an old habit of his.

Tierney was seated right behind the Arsenal bench wearing many more layers of clothing than he usually does in the face of cold. In fact, he even wore a snood, covering half of his face.

Of course, Tierney is famed for his refusal to wrap up warm even when it is freezing. As reported by Daily Record, perhaps it was partially to keep himself under the radar until he is ready for a full return to the pitch.

Either way, it is rare to see Kieran Tierney wear full sleeves, let alone a snood. After all, he was born on the Isle of Man but spent most of his childhood in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. So, he isn't fazed by the cold.

Much like fellow Celtic hero, Scott Brown, Tierney raises eyebrows for his ability to brave freezing temperatures. As you can imagine, Arsenal fans used to watching him in shorts and a T-shirt during the winter were a bit taken aback.
