Celtic need to add to their options up front. Kyogo is the only option they have there at the moment with Oh Hyeon-gyu and Rocco Vata leaving the club on a permanent basis this summer while Adam Idah returned to Norwich City at the end of his half-season loan spell, which saw him score 9 goals including the winner in the Scottish Cup final against the Rangers.
A lot of focus has been on Idah and his situation but Celtic have not been successful in agreeing a transfer deal with Norwich City yet. The season is already underway though and the Hoops cannot afford to let this saga drag on for much longer.
One would expect Celtic to have alternative striker transfer targets. Bojan Miovski of Aberdeen is someone who they have been linked with heavily in the past and he could be an excellent addition to this team. But unfortunately, it looks like he is headed elsewhere. To Spain, to be exact.
As reported by Sky Sports, Girona are in advanced talks with Aberdeen to sign Miovski. It is understood that negotiations are ongoing, but are progressing well. The 25-year-old is believed to be keen on a move to the Spanish club.
Girona in advanced talks to sign Celtic-linked striker
Miovski has proved himself as a fantastic goalscorer during his time at Aberdeen. He probably would have scored for fun in a Celtic jersey.
Unfortunately, it looks like Celtic have missed the bus. It is looking very likely that Miovski will end up joining Girona.
On the other hand, Celtic will probably have to shell out a similar transfer fee, if not more, to sign Idah. If that move even happens.
Do not get us wrong, Idah is a fantastic talent too and has proven himself as a difference-maker at Celtic. But Miovski had shown his qualities at the European level as well, which Idah has not.
